Guy Rey-Millet for Jean Prouvé Stool
This stool is a unique collaborative effort between Guy Rey-Millet and Jean Prouvé for the Refuge du Col de la Vanoise in the Savoie region of France. After the dismantling of the Refuge, the furniture was cleaned and dispatched to various dealers. Two variations exist of these stools. One with a thicker midsection, one with a more narrow midsection.
The solid and sturdy design was intentional. “I was tired of finding the broken refuge furniture, having been used to light the heating stove, I decided to make it solid, unbreakable!” -Guy Millet
This specific stool was used outdoors as evident by the washed out color and water marks.
